EVERGLOW member Wang Yiren recently talked about her difficulties as an idol, saying that even after six years in the business, she has not yet made any money from her group activities.
“I really love performing on stage, but I haven’t made any money at all,” Yiren said on a fan communication forum. "Even so, I am unwilling to give up on this job," she added. The truth is that we have never been compensated.
"That's why we put so much effort into getting ready for our tour performances—we really want to give our fans an amazing stage," she added. "I always feel sorry that we can't bring you new songs and performances more often," she said, expressing regret nonetheless.
Yiren reiterated her financial predicament, saying, "I've been working for zero pay since I made my debut. I have never received payment at all. She remained upbeat in spite of this, saying, "But it's okay. At least I will always have the chance to meet our supporters and take the stage.
Many fans expressed concerns about EVERGLOW's future after learning that the six-year-old girl group had not yet seen any financial returns.
The group's 2023 EVERGLOW US TOUR "ALL MY GIRLS" was a success, and they returned in June 2023 with their fifth single album, "ZOMBIE."
Yiren first became well-known after competing with fellow EVERGLOW member Sihyeon in Mnet's survival audition series "PRODUCE 48."
E:U, Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha, and Yiren are the six members of the international girl group EVERGLOW, which made its debut on March 21, 2019, under the banner of Yuehua Entertainment Korea. Among their popular songs are "ZOMBIE," "SLAY," "Pirate," "FIRST," and "DUN DUN."
