On June 27, Supertone Co., an AI audio and sound technology business under HYBE Labels, introduced SYNDI8, a virtual female group.
Canary, Nest, Goyo, and Raven make up SYNDI8. Three tracks, including the title track "ATOTA" and the b-side tracks "My Fantasy" and "True Color," are included in the group's first single album, "MVP," which was released globally on June 27.The female group primarily uses sound to create a virtual world called Nansy Land, where voices power the whole environment. The members of SYNDI8 summon their magical abilities by using their distinctive voices.
When it was revealed that one of the members was called Canary—which sounds similar to "Kanari" when spoken in Korean—some people at first started to voice concerns. It was also noted that the height and MBTI of aespa member Karina, who is 168 cm and an ENFP, are identical to those of the virtual idol Canary.
