On July 16, YG Entertainment announced Junghwan's positive diagnosis following Doyoung, who tested positive earlier this week. The agency stated, "We're notifying you TREASURE's Junghwan tested positive for COVID-19 today after Doyoung who tested positive on July 13, the other TREASURE members and staff have tested negative for all additional tests until now." The agency continued, "Junghwan tested negative initially, but he received a positive result after continuously checking his health with a rapid detection kit when he is in self-quarantine and confirmed his result is positive following the COVID-19 test."
