Taeil Linked to an Unsettling Prediction Post from Two Months Ago Titled "Three Men Commit Sexual Assault"

Former NCT member Taeil (actual name Moon Taeil, age 30) has been referred to the prosecution on charges of aggravated quasi-rape. A post from two months ago by a student at Seoul National University (SNU) has come back to light amid the current inquiry, mentioning the accusations against Taeil.

On the SNU community forum "Everytime," a message titled "NCT Taeil Incident" was uploaded on August 28. The author wrote, "A month ago, the case was already turned over to the police. Only because it was reported today does it appear abrupt." "I heard it involved three males, including an NCT member," they further asserted. It appears to be a case of collective sexual assault rather than deepfake crimes on Telegram."

The post was made on the same day that Taeil's exit from NCT due to the allegations was publicized by SM Entertainment.

Following receipt of a report from the victim, Taeil was first arrested on June 13 by the Seoul Bangbae Police Station. Although SM Entertainment acknowledged that they were initially made aware of the claims in the middle of August, they remained silent regarding the specifics of Taeil's alleged sexual offense.

On October 7, it was then made public that Taeil and two friends had been charged with sexually abusing a drunken woman. It is reported that the other parties are not well-known figures.

Aggravated quasi-rape charges apply when two or more people commit sexual assault against a person in a state of incapacitation or inability to resist, with penalties ranging from at least seven years in prison to life imprisonment under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

In 2016, Taeil made her NCT debut as a member of NCT U and NCT 127. He was unfollowed on social media by SM Entertainment and his fellow members after leaving NCT, indicating a definitive breakup.
