At Kim Garam's graduation ceremony, who left LE SSERAFIM after a dispute over school violence, is scheduled to make a formal presence. Her comeback to the public is scheduled on March 7 KST, which is almost a year and a half after she left LE SSERAFIM in 2022.
When reports of Kim Garam having been bullied at school during her middle school years first appeared in April 2022, the controversy around her began. Reports described improper conduct and bullying incidents at school, as well as the publication of images with sexual gestures, profanity, and disparaging statements about people with disabilities.
Her old agency, HYBE, stood up for Kim Garam at the time, saying she was being cruelly slandered. They said that Kim Garam had been the victim of cyberbullying and that the occurrences were from when she was just starting middle school and establishing friends. In addition, HYBE filed a lawsuit against the individual who first made the claims public.
Amidst these problems, Kim Garam made her debut with LE SSERAFIM, promising to put in more effort as a group member during her presentation. But when it was disclosed in the report of the school bullying committee that Kim Garam had been identified as the fifth perpetrator, public opinion turned against her. As a result, HYBE suspended her operations. Three months later, in July 2022, Kim Garam quit LE SSERAFIM and ended her exclusive deal with the agency. Later, Kim Garam denied the accusations through the testimony of a friend, asserting that she had never used violence, bullied anybody, or committed any other misconduct. She stressed that prior to making her debut, she had been an ordinary student and voiced her unhappiness with the circumstances.
There is a lot of curiosity about what Kim Garam may say or disclose at the formal occasion as she gets ready to attend the graduation ceremony. Kim Garam intends to enroll at Konkuk University's College of Art and Design's Department of Media Acting after leaving the entertainment industry.
