Multiple insiders in the music business have reported that singer Kang Daniel's Konnect Entertainment is about to close its doors as of May 20 KST. The agency's staff members have all been let go or resigned, and its linked artists are also departing to follow other opportunities.
Amidst legal concerns surrounding Kang Daniel, the other shareholders of Konnect Entertainment have also made the decision to split from all connected artists.
There is not much time left on Kang Daniel's contract. Rather than carry on as a single artist under a one-man agency, he intends to quietly leave the organization when his contract expires next month. It seems that the agency will inevitably move toward closure as a result.
According to reports, Konnect Entertainment has let go of or let off about twenty people. The firm also sold their corporate car some time ago.
Additionally, it was disclosed that earlier this year, the agency's office in Seoul's Gangnam-gu neighborhood, Sinsa-dong, was cleared out.
In June 2019, Kang Daniel established Konnect Entertainment as his own company. Though it started out as Kang Daniel's one-man operation, he eventually enlisted the help of musicians including Chancellor, Yuju, a former member of GFriend, and the dance group WE DEM BOYZ.
