K-netizens are still criticizing Jennie for her indoor smoking incident, even after a purported staff member attempted to support the celebrity

Following BLACKPINK singer Jennie's incident with indoor smoking earlier this week, a purported staff member defended the K-Pop star, claiming they were present at the location of the "JACQUEMUS" fashion show preparation.

In an online community on July 10 KST, a netizen who claimed to have witnessed the smoking event said, "That location was the 'JACQUEMUS' fashion show preparation site, and the room was not designated as a non-smoking room." Before vaping with a window open, everyone was asked for permission to smoke."

"While her makeup staff was looking for a lip product, Jennie started smoking a bubble pen that she had purchased from a convenience store," the netizen went on. The workers simply turned around at the incorrect moment. Jennie repeatedly apologized to the employee, even after the performance was over. The employee claimed that since she smokes herself, it was OK.

"It is true that blowing smoke in the direction of the staff can be considered a problematic incident," the internet community declared in their conclusion. I'm not sure, though, that this episode alone should be grounds for bringing up the artist's prior behavior or character charges. I'm sorry that this is leading to such confusion as I am her buddy."
