Judgment will be handed out for YouTuber facing defamation charges Kang Daniel

On September 11th KST, the first trial decision for YouTuber "Taldeok Camp (Sojang)," who was charged with defaming singer Kang Daniel, will be given.

That day, Park's sentence hearing will be presided over by Judge Lee Joon Goo of the Seoul Central District Court's 18th Criminal Division. Park was charged with breaking the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (Defamation).

Park is charged with fabricating a film titled "The promiscuous private life of the national boyfriend, actor idol" and uploading it to their YouTube page in 2022 with the intention of discrediting Kang Daniel. The YouTube channel Taldeok Camp (Sojang) was removed after posting videos based on false rumors regarding idols. The channel has subsequently been removed.

In the last trial, Park was ordered to pay a fine of three million won by the prosecution. In their farewell remarks, Park apologized for hurting the victims and begged for forgiveness, admitting, "I was immature and very thoughtless."

That day, Park showed up in court with a wig, thick-framed glasses, and a white mask to conceal their identity. They swiftly departed the proceedings beneath a black umbrella.

A second trial is being held for the allegations against Park, who was also accused in May without being placed under arrest for uploading 23 defamatory YouTube videos between October 2021 and June 2023 that targeted seven celebrities, including Wonyoung of IVE.
