Joy from Red Velvet hits SM Entertainment, igniting discussion among online users

Joy, a member of Red Velvet, has caused controversy online by often criticizing her agency, SM Entertainment.

To the excitement of music lovers, Red Velvet launched their new EP record, "Cosmic," on June 24 KST. The CD, which honors the group's tenth anniversary, highlights Red Velvet's excellent musicianship and high caliber of production.

Fans had great hopes for the 10th anniversary album because of its significance. But there was a problem when the music video for the title single wasn't released on time. Aware of the excitement among the fans, the members decided to give an explanation and request patience. When Joy voiced her displeasure about the music video's delayed release, the issue got worse.

Joy said, "Well, they didn't listen to any of our opinions and just told us to wait," to a fan who asked her to comment on the music video via a paid fan contact network. And now there isn't a single edit in the song video."

She drew attention with, "I shouldn't say more, so I'll stay quiet," along with a sobbing emoji.

Joy has previously expressed her displeasure with SM for not doing enough to promote Red Velvet's most recent release. Doubtful, she said, "I wonder if it's supposed to be a secret until the end, or if they forgot to announce it, or if they plan to announce it next week."

Online users' responses to Joy's frequent complaints have been conflicting. Although several sympathized with Joy's unhappiness, many also chastised her for not taking into account SM's efforts to assist the artists. There have been worries that Joy's vocal discontent may worsen things.

According to critics, "Is she pushing fans to complain for her by expressing her dissatisfaction?" "SM employees work hard, and constant complaints from artists can be demoralizing," and the "How can they cater to every individual opinion?"

Conversely, a few admirers felt sorry for Joy. "She must be really frustrated to say something like this," they said. "It's understandable given her love for the album," according to "It must be disheartening for her."
