Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun of T-ara make remarks about their impending divorce



Choi Yuna, Jiyeon's lawyer, issued a statement on October 5 on behalf of her client. It said, "After a period of separation, the parties decided to divorce because they were unable to resolve their differences." They have filed a divorce mediation request with the Seoul Family Court. We kindly ask that you abstain from speculative remarks and sensationalized reportage."



Additionally, Jiyeon published a statement, introducing herself as Jiyeon. I want to start by saying I'm sorry to tell you this bad news. We've decided to move forward with divorce mediation. I apologize for not being able to respond to your message right away. I'll work to improve how I show myself in the future. I'm grateful.


"I apologize for bringing this unpleasant news to our fans," said Hwang Jae Gyun directly. Due to our differing personalities, Jiyeon and I have decided to get a divorce after giving it a lot of thought. We have also requested divorce mediation from the Seoul Family Court. We intend to use the mediation process to reach a mutually agreeable resolution.
