On the morning of June 12 KST, BTS's Jin was pictured following his required military duty and release from the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. Jin was observed crying as he said farewell to his fellow service members and was released from his position.
On December 13, 2022, Jin became the first member of the group to join in the Army on an active duty basis. After serving for a year and a half, Jin was released on this day, June 12, after continuing his military career as an assistant teacher at the Recruit Training Center of the 5th Infantry Division.
