On January 13, FNC Entertainment released an official statement that former AOA member Jimin's exclusive contract with the agency has offically come to an end.
Below is FNC Entertainment's official statement:
"Hello, This is FNC Entertainment.
We inform you that our company artist Jimin's exclusive contract has come to an end as of January 12, 2022. We would like to relay our gratitude toward Jimin, who has been active as a singer in our company for the past nine years. Although our relationship with [Jimin] has ended, we ask you to send your warm support and encouragement toward Jimin's future endeavors.
Thank you."
