In response to Big Bang's Daesung rating 2NE1 as the lowest donor to the agency, Dara, a former member of the legendary group, posted a statement.
Dara appeared as a guest on the "Cultwo show," an SBS radio program, on February 16. Big Bang's Daesung previously made a special appearance on the Psick University YouTube channel on February 10. Daesung was asked to "List the following artists according to their contribution to YG Entertainment's success" in one of the questions, and he determined that 2NE1 had made the least contribution.
In response to this, Dara said, "I know it was just for the entertainment but I was upset at first." "But then I met Daesung at a salon," she went on. There was no avoiding him. But as soon as we were together again, we reconciled. In actuality, 2NE1 and Big Bang are similar to siblings in the entertainment industry."
In response to the DJ's question regarding the extent of 2NE1's contribution to YG Entertainment, Dara assertively said, "I think I would have installed the elevators in their building alone." She went on to say, "I feel pretty confident that 2NE1 had at least built one floor of their building."
