BTS will get their own special edition Korean national stamp in 2023!
On Dec. 14, Korea Post (Korea's national post office) announced a list of 23 special-edition stamps to be issued next year to commemorate 2023. In many countries, including South Korea, national stamps represent and honor major cultural figures, events, and monuments. The selection of people, events, or places for each year's special edition stamps is led by a committee representing each field of art.
Well, in 2023, BTS will be on their own national postage stamp!
While the exact design of the new BTS stamps has yet to be determined, Korea Post declared, "BTS is globally recognized as a 21st-century pop icon who has touched the lives of people around the world with their music and lyrics."
Some of the other 2023 special edition stamps include Pororo, "Beautiful Korean," Bee, and more.
