With 2NE1's 15th anniversary of their debut drawing near, rumors of a potential reunion are intensifying.
"Yang Hyun Suk, the executive producer, is set to meet with the members," which was verified by YG Entertainment on June 25 KST. However, they also stated that "there is nothing else we can confirm at this time."
The members of 2NE1 and Yang Hyun Suk are reportedly going to talk about a possible reunion and a project for their 15th anniversary.
There were rumors circulating last month that Yang Hyun Suk and CL had a meeting. "It was not an official company meeting, and we cannot confirm the details," YG said at the time.
Fans' expectations for a reunion were heightened when 2NE1 celebrated their 15th anniversary in May by taking part in a group picture.
With their 2009 debut, 2NE1 produced a number of successes, including "Fire," "I Don't Care," "Clap Your Hands," "Lonely," "I Am the Best," and "Missing You." The band disbanded in November of 2016.
They gained notoriety in April 2022 when they collaborated at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the US.
