66th Grammy Awards: K-pop performers not included in the list of nominees

No K-pop artist has received a nomination for the prestigious 66th Grammy Awards, which are scheduled to take place on February 4 (local time) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles (LA), USA.

SZA is the most nominated artist for the Grammy Awards this year. She is in nine categories, including Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Other noteworthy nominations that are sure to catch the attention of music lovers worldwide include Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste, boygenius, Victoria Monet, and Taylor Swift.

Global audiences have been disappointed, nevertheless, by the exclusion of K-pop performers, such as BTS, from the 2024 Grammy Award nomination list. Since its nomination three years ago, BTS in particular has been in the running for three straight years' worth of the 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' award, but they have yet to win. The disappointment felt by their global fan base has increased since they and other K-pop musicians were left off of the nomination list this year.

It is especially disheartening that BTS isn't included in the Grammy nominations considering that they have won prizes at the other two main American music award shows, the "Billboard Music Awards" and the "American Music Awards."
