The 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (2021 MAMA) will be held in Korea!
On September 8, JTBC News reported that 2021 MAMA will be held in Korea again this year after taking everything into consideration, such as the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The event will take place at CJ ENM’s Contents World. The location is the size of 32 soccer fields, and although the place has yet to fully open, 2020 MAMA was also hosted there.
Since 2010, MAMA has often been held in locations outside Korea. From 2012 to 2015, the ceremony was held in Hong Kong, and in 2017 to 2018, it was held in 3 countries including Hong Kong. The 2019 MAMA could not be held in Hong Kong due to the protests. And the 2020 MAMA was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before the event, MAMA will continue to take into consideration the COVID-19 pandemic as well as government regulations to determine the possibility of holding the event offline while putting the health and safety of fans, artists, and staffs as their utmost priority.
